Lapa Rios is a part of the Golfo Dulce Forest Reserve and is located on the shore of Pacific Ocean. The forest and beach environment of Golfo Dulce Forest Reserve is well reflected in Lapa Rios making the vacation at the resort as living in paradise. The resort has 14 thatched bungalows all of which face the ocean. The guests can enjoy the soft tropical breezes after they pass through screened window walls. The resort is built 350 feet above the sea with the restaurant and bar another 50 feet high. The restaurant and the bar are made up of local, natural materials. The main lodge and the bungalows are built along three ridges and are connected by walking paths and steps. Further Palm thatched roofs are connected with a circular stairway which the guests can climb to get a glimpse of the forest canopy and the ocean. The rooms are decorated with locally made bamboo furnitures that are in perfect harmony with the romanticism of the surrounding nature.
